The university was founded in 1899 as the Ekaterinoslav Higher Mining School. The first set was only 77 people. Today the total number of students of “Dnieper Polytechnic” is more than ten thousand. The university trains highly qualified specialists in 40 specialties, including engineering, computer, philology and economics. NTU “DP” is recognized and known not only within Ukraine, but also around the world as a training and research center.
The structure of the university includes: five institutes and nine faculties; three technical schools; postgraduate and doctoral studies.
Higher education offered by Dnipro Polytechnic is a combination of many years of experience, for almost 120 years of existence, in the training of highly qualified specialists and the latest teaching methods. Information support at the university is carried out with the help of textbooks, manuals and electronic resources. The fund of the university library is about 1.5 million copies. The library of “Dnieper Polytechnic” is one of the largest information centers of educational institutions in the country. Students who study at our university have great opportunities and wide mobility in Europe. Important importance in NTU “DP” is given to the international exchange and internship of students and teachers. Students have the opportunity to receive two diplomas – ours and the university, which is its international partner.
The educational process is provided by about a thousand teachers, more than half of whom have a scientific degree or academic title. Among them: 25 laureates of the State awards in the field of science and technology of Ukraine, every sixth – the honored worker of science and technology, or the excellent student of education of Ukraine.

The National Mining University is one of the leading educational institutions and a leading educational institution of the state in the exploration and mining industries.
Graduates of the National Mining University have modern computer technology and are able to solve complex problems of industry, economics and law.

The educational process is provided by more than 600 teachers, including more than 100 doctors of sciences, professors and 350 candidates of sciences, associate professors.
